Privacy Policy

Overview

Cheatish is operated by Axiosware LLC. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

What happens to your uploaded documents:

• Uploaded study materials (PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD) are held in memory only for as long as it takes to generate your sheet, and are never written to disk or to a database.
• No uploaded files are stored on our servers.
• Your document is sent to a third party AI processing provider to generate the sheet. Your study materials are never used to train AI models, by us or by that provider.
• We log the file extension, the file size and the character count of each upload so we can diagnose failures. We do not log the filename or any part of the document contents.

What happens to the sheet we make for you:

• The finished sheet is saved. That is what lets you reopen it later from any device, and what makes its share link work.
• The share link is unguessable, but anyone you send it to can open it without signing in. Treat it like a link to a private document, because that is what it is.
• Sheets are deleted automatically 12 months after they are made.
• You can delete your sheets from your account. Sign in to the account that created the sheet and use “Delete this sheet”. Deleting removes the contents and stops the share link working immediately.
• Delete sheets individually or all at once from your account page. Delete any sheets you want removed before deleting your account.
• Deleting a sheet does not remove your purchase history or unused credits. We keep those to handle refunds and card disputes, and they contain none of your study material. Deleting an account disables access to its credits and history; a new account does not automatically inherit them. Contact support for recovery help.

Payment Data

All payments are processed by a third party payment processor. Cheatish does not store, process, or have access to your credit card number or financial details. That processor's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

Cookies & Analytics

We use a privacy preserving analytics service to understand aggregate traffic patterns. It collects anonymized, nonidentifying data. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Clerk uses essential authentication cookies to keep you signed in. Purchases, credits, and saved sheets are linked to your account in our database. Earlier payment references may remain in browser storage, but they no longer authorize access.

Third Party Services

• AI processing : a third party provider generates your sheet from your document text. Your materials are not used to train AI models.
• Payment processing : a third party processor handles payment, including the email address you enter at checkout. We never see or store your card details.
• Hosting and analytics : a third party platform serves the site and reports aggregate traffic.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing the data they collect. If you need to know which providers we use, for example for a school or institutional review, email admin@axiosware.com and we will tell you.

Your Rights

We do not store your uploaded documents, so there is nothing to export or delete there. We do hold a payment record, which includes the email address you gave at checkout, because that is what a receipt, a refund and a dispute all depend on.

You can ask us for a copy of that record, or ask us to delete it, by emailing privacy@axiosware.com. Depending on where you live you may have these rights under the GDPR or the CCPA; we honour them for everyone regardless. Note that we may need to keep a minimal transaction record to meet tax and accounting obligations even after a deletion request.
